TeachOregon is designed to pilot innovative models to prepare the next generation of teachers for Oregon’s K-12 classrooms. School districts will partner with university programs to develop preparation programs to prepare a diverse and effective workforce to teach in 21st century classrooms.

Teacher Preparation Symposium: Preparing Oregon’s Next Generation of Teachers

A symposium was held in Salem on Monday, March 19. There were 140 guests listening to and engaging in significant conversations about the future of teacher preparation in Oregon. From 9 AM – 3 PM, attendees heard from various keynote speakers, and participated in roundtable discussions to learn more about initiatives related to teacher preparation.
