Foundations for a Better Oregon is pleased to announce a new board member, Lane Shetterly. “We are so thrilled to welcome Lane Shetterly to our board. Lane has extensive experience as a private & philanthropic leader, a state legislator, and agency director. His amazing commitment to Oregon makes him the perfect contributor to our work,” says Chalkboard Project Executive Director Whitney Grubbs.
Mr. Shetterly volunteers his service on several boards of nonprofit organizations in Oregon including the Oregon Community Foundation, Western Oregon University, Oregon Environmental Council, and Salem Health. He is a partner in the law firm Shetterly Irick and Ozias in Dallas, Oregon, where he began his law practice in 1981. He is married to Francine, a staff attorney at the Oregon Court of Appeals, and they have two children, Joel, age 29, and Lauren, age 26.
