North Clackamas Superintendent Matt Utterback has been named 2017 AASA National Superintendent of the Year. This great honor is a result of Superintendent Utterback’s leadership in improving this district’s graduation rate and student growth. He has been a tremendous support to Chalkboard as an advisory board member and through his district’s participation in the School District Collaboration Fund/CLASS.
North Clackamas School District Collaboration Fund/CLASS grant manager Jenna Schadler said about Superintendent Utterback’s accomplishment, “We are so excited that Matt is being honored at the national level, but not surprised. Matt has been a big supporter of the work of the Collaboration Grant since the beginning. In our meetings, he encourages our efforts to empower teacher leadership and is excited to see changes we make to the system. He challenges us to think outside of the box and be creative in our work, which ultimately will increase opportunities for all students.” Chalkboard congratulates Superintendent Matt Utterback and the school district on this accomplishment.
