Cecelia (Cec) is currently a CLASS/SDCF coach for Klamath County and Three Rivers school districts. She has served as a teacher, coordinator, administrator and most recently retired as a superintendent for Klamath Falls City Schools. She received her BS and MS from Western Oregon University and her administrative credential for Portland State University.
Jenny provides coaching support to Mt. Angel, Jewell, Dallas, Hood River, and St. Paul school districts. She began her career as a teacher in the D.C. Metro area after receiving her MAT from Lewis and Clark in 2003. She moved back to Portland in 2005 and joined the team at Floyd Light Middle School in David Douglas School District. In 2013, she was chosen to co-manage the David Douglas Collaboration Grant and worked to elevate teacher leaders to lead professional learning. Jenny attended the 2016 Oregon Writing Project Summer Institute and hopes to spread this model of collaborative professional learning, teacher leadership and school reform in her work with Oregon districts. Prior to becoming a teacher, Jenny shredded on drums in local rock bands and pursued an acting career. Today, she regularly performs flamenco dance. Jenny is also fluent in Spanish and taught in an elementary dual-language immersion program for two years.
Marsha Benjamin Moyer
Marsha is currently a CLASS/SDCF coach for North Santiam School District. She is a master teacher and administrator who has been a change agent for students, teachers and administrators for more than thirty years. An Educational Leadership consultant and speaker, Moyer’s wide-ranging experience and trained eye for effective instruction comes from years of comprehensive professional experience and ethical practices. She founded MBM IMPAC, a consulting firm that provides leadership support and customized professional development for public, private, and international educational institutions, upon retiring from a distinguished career in education that started in the classroom and culminated in her change agent role as Director of Licensed Personnel and Staff Quality for Oregon’s second largest district. Whether serving students and staff or the greater community at large, Moyer is committed to making a difference. She is proud to be a senior fellow of Oregon American Leadership Forum - a national network of chapters dedicated to building stronger communities by preparing leaders to serve the public good.
Kari Nelsestuen, M.S.
Kari is currently a CLASS/SDCF coach for Newberg School District. She brings expertise in effective educational practices to her role as a CLASS/SDCF coach. Kari is a specialist in improvement science, a systematic approach to change that shapes the design process in SDCF districts. She also has a deep background in research and evaluation; her specialty is the study of program implementation. Through her research, Kari has a developed a deep understanding of why and how programs succeed – or fail – in schools.
For the past two decades, Kari has had the privilege of supporting many diverse projects in different educational settings. For example, she helped design an intensive training program for school turnaround coaches in Alaska, facilitated teacher inquiry groups in New Jersey, and led a large research alliance in Oregon. Kari has worked for several large nonprofit agencies in New York and Oregon and is currently an independent consultant residing in Portland. She has an M.S. from Columbia University Teachers College and was trained in improvement science by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
Dale is currently a CLASS/SDCF coach for Eagle Point, Klamath Falls City, Phoenix-Talent, Rogue River, and Springfield school districts. He has been a teacher and administrator for over 30 years, working at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. Most recently, he was a school improvement coordinator and administrator mentor at the Oregon Department of Education. In addition to his duties as a CLASS/SDCF coach, Dale is a bargaining facilitator, training school districts in how to use interest based processes to negotiate their labor contracts.
Dale earned a doctorate in Organization Development from the University of Oregon and is currently coaching five CLASS/SDCF school districts. Dale enjoys cycling, hiking, and being with family. His son is a teacher for Portland Public Schools, and his daughter is studying public policy at the University of Washington and is an education researcher.
Julie is a CLASS/SDCF coach for Hood River and Chalkboard Project’s director of educator effectiveness. She has spent the past decade in various educational leadership roles helping to raise student achievement in her schools through the support of teaching and learning. She began as a teacher leader and instructional coach moving to an administrative role as a Professional Development Specialist with the Evergreen School District. Julie is certified in cognitive coaching, has extensive experience in the implementation of professional learning communities and the creation of job-embedded professional development.
Annie is the CLASS/SDCF coach for Dayton, Gresham Barlow, Mt. Angel, Sheridan, and St. Paul school districts and Chalkboard Project's educator effectiveness coach. Prior to joining Chalkboard, Annie was heavily involved in mentoring early career teachers and provided leadership for the Oregon Mentoring Program. She began her career teaching middle school language arts and social studies and has worked on behalf of public education for more than 20 years. Annie holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics and Government and an M.A.T. from the University of Puget Sound.
